Station Modernisation and Enhancement Project (SMEP)
Turnpike Lane is a deep underground station and forms part of the London underground rail network. The SMEP programme aims to bring all LUL stations to modern standards.
Working with Morgan-Est, on behalf of Tube Lines, the project included a complete upgrade of all lighting schemes and improvements to station air conditioning, ventilation and pipe work services within the ticket offices, main concourse, escalators and station platforms.
We were also responsible for the installation of new cable management systems for the station’s communication cabling systems.
